Jordan Nieuwenhuis, Owner & Director
Jordan is the Owner and Director of JK Dance Academy. Her journey began at the age of 4, leading her to compete and choreograph for her local studio and high school dance team. After high school, Jordan attended Grand View University, where she danced competitively and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with Management and Marketing concentrations.
Throughout her dance career, Jordan has choreographed and taught for numerous studios across Iowa, while also teaching camps and master classes along the way.
Jordan currently resides in Primghar with her dog, Baylor. In her free time, Jordan loves traveling, spending time with her friends and family, and enjoying the outdoors.
Jordan aims to instill her passion and love for dance into her students, while helping them create lasting memories and lifelong skills. She is dedicated to providing the best instruction, mentorship, and care for her dancers so they grow into professional and confident young adults.
Miss Kyler, Instructor
Kyler brings a strong passion for dance and over 12 years of experience as both a performer and an instructor. Over the past 7 years, she has coached competitive dance teams at local studios and high schools. Throughout her teaching career, Kyler has received choreography awards in lyrical, hip hop, and musical theater, but also has a huge passion for tap and ballet!
Kyler currently resides in Spirit Lake with her dog, Lucy, and works as a Program Merchandiser at Staples Promotional Products. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching movies and reality TV shows, hanging out at the lake, and working on her embroidery and customization business, White Sail Stitch Co.
Dance played an important role in helping Kyler grow confident and determined, and she hopes to help every dancer who enters her classroom build that same confidence and determination. Her goal is to create a positive and encouraging environment where dancers feel supported, inspired, and excited to grow both on and off the dance floor.
